Julius Caesar will feature James Ware as an African-American Caesar, with a diverse cas
t of 7 women and 7 men playing the rest of the roles, including the fighter roles. Director Robert Dyckman says, “You’ll witness firsthand the intrigue as Brutus and his conspirators plot against a tyrannical dictator who threatens to rob them of their freedom, and the consequences of their actions and fatal flaws as they struggle to save the Roman Republic - complete with an exciting and epic battle fought with swords, shields and spears!”The summer’s comedy, Two Gentlemen of Verona, continues in CFTC’s usual direction of contemporary concepts, tackling the era of Reagonomics and shoulder pads in a 75-minute version of the Bard’s less-oft performed play.
